Virtually There Technology
The Remote Presence Robotic System's Virtually There technology allows a remote physician to interact within the hospital environment similarly to being there. Virtually There technology incorporates a camera with pan, tilt and zoom features to provide the remote medical professional with maximum visual acuity and flexibility. Because of the wide range of motion and quick response of the camera system the physician can easily interact with patients, observe vital sign monitors, examine x-ray light boards and fluid bags, zoom in to read a chart or examine a patient's wound, consult with on-site staff, and capture and share digital images and videos.

With the RP-7 monitor located near eye level, the hospital-based patient or staff member can see a live video of the remote expert. This "head-like" display coupled with high-quality, two-way audio gives both the remote physician and patient a Virtually There interaction.
