Yulun Wang, Ph.D., Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, launched his career at the intersection of healthcare and technology with the founding of Computer Motion, Inc. and the invention of AESOP, the first FDA-cleared surgical robot. Under his leadership, Computer Motion went public in 1997 and later merged with Intuitive Surgical to forge the multi-billion dollar surgical robotics industry. In 2002, Dr. Wang founded InTouch Health which has been recognized as one of the fastest growing healthcare and technology companies by the likes of Inc. 500 and Deloitte 500. Dr. Wang has received multiple entrepreneurship and leadership awards and was elected to the prestigious ranks of the National Academy of Engineering in 2011. Author to more than 50 publications and 100 registered patents, he is a member of the University of California, Santa Barbara's Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board, the Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian Board of Directors, and the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Board of Directors, where he also serves as an officer. Frequently invited to speak at noteworthy meetings and events, Dr. Wang has appeared on the Today Show, CNN and other nationally televised news programs. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specializing in Robotics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
David Adornetto, Chief Operating Officer, has over 20 years of healthcare industry and senior management experience that includes serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations for InTouch Health from July 2006 to October 2011. Before joining InTouch Health, Mr. Adornetto was Executive Vice President of Operations at Mentor Corporation, a publicly held manufacturer of Urology and Aesthetic Medicine products, where he also held positions as Vice President of Strategic and Operational Planning and Vice President of Finance. Prior to Mentor, Mr. Adornetto was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Adornetto is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles and currently serves on the faculty of the Technology Management Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Stephen L. Wilson, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, has over 35 years of experience in finance and has been a Chief Financial Officer at publicly held or pre-public medical technology companies since 1990 when he first held that position at St. Jude Medical, Inc., and helped it transition from $150 million to $1 billion in revenue. In 1997, he joined Computer Motion as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and played a key role in the initial public offerings of that company which merged with Intuitive Surgical, Inc., and then Sonic Innovations, Inc., which grew from a pre-revenue to a $125 million company during his tenure. Prior to joining InTouch Health, Steve Wilson was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Den-Mat.
Steve Jordan, Executive Vice President, Research & Development, has spent more than 25 years in R&D and has over a dozen patents in the field of robotics. His background includes extensive experience in software development and mechanical design as well as in designing products, management of development teams, driving product development, and completing products on schedule and within budget. During his career he has developed over 30 robotic systems, including those created at Computer Motion, which were the world's first robotic medical systems. With core expertise in digital system design for robotic controls, he also led the project at Computer Motion that developed and brought to market the world's first voice-controlled operating room control system. Mr. Jordan received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Michael Chan, General Manager, International, and Executive Vice President, Marketing, has more than 20 years of global business, sales and marketing, product development and operations experience in the medical device and healthcare markets. Joining InTouch Health's management team at its inception in January 2002, he was previously Vice President of Marketing at TheraCardia, pioneers of a new procedure to treat cardiac arrest. He also held various senior management positions at Computer Motion, Inc. (1997 Nasdaq IPO and 2003 Intuitive Surgical merger), PhotoAccess Corp. (acquired by Agilent Technologies) and Andronic Devices Ltd. (acquired by MDS Health), and held marketing and program management positions at Stryker Corporation's orthopedics division. Mr. Chan received a Bachelor of Applied Science in bio-resource engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
Andy Puterbaugh, General Manager, U.S. Markets, who has more than 26 years of experience in both private and public companies, joined InTouch Health in August 2008, as Area Vice President for the Western U.S., which included 18 states. Using a coordinated approach to team selling strategies which resulted in highly satisfied customers, under his leadership, the West consistently demonstrated strong revenue performance and top sales results. Prior to InTouch Health, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Cogent Healthcare, a Nashville-based Hospitalist organization, and also key positions at several start-up/early stage healthcare companies, including KCI (NYSE: KCI). Mr. Puterbaugh is a graduate of Purdue University.
Dave Vort, Vice President, U.S. Sales, has more than 20 years of experience leading and developing Medical Device Capital Sales organizations. Prior to InTouch Health, he served as Area Vice President of Western Sales for Intuitive Surgical, manufacturer of the da Vinci Surgical Robotics system. In this position he led the 90-Member Western U.S. team through significant growth and expansion across both the Capital and Clinical Business Units. Prior to Intuitive Surgical, Mr. Vort gained extensive international experience leading business units for Stryker and the Global Healthcare Exchange, where he was a member of the founding team that ultimately sold the company to a coalition led by GE, J&J and Medtronic. Earlier, he held several leadership roles with U.S. Surgical Corporation, prior to its sale to Covidien. Mr. Vort received his BS in Political Science from the University of the Pacific.
Tim Wright, Vice President, Corporate and Market Strategy, has over 20 years of healthcare industry experience in marketing, strategy, new product development and operations management. Before joining InTouch Health, he was regional general manager for Sunbridge Healthcare and ManorCare Health Services overseeing skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across several western states. Prior to that, he directed marketing, corporate strategy and new product development at ManorCare, where he headed up development of ManorCare's sub- acute market offering, and Marriott, where he led the creation of a new lodging market segmentation. Mr. Wright has also performed strategy consulting projects for major corporations including General Electric, Circuit City Stores and Tupperware International. Mr. Wright received an MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia, and a BA from the University of Washington.
Charlie Huiner, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, has over 19 years of business development, strategy and B2B sales and marketing experience, with the last nine focused on medical technology. Previously Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at InTouch Health, he conceived of and successfully launched the company's surgical collaboration and training offering to enterprise customers. Before that, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Isolagen, Inc. and Senior Director, Corporate Development and Strategy, at Inamed Corporation (acquired by Allergan), and held development positions at Bordeaux Capital, Security Capital Group (acquired by GE Capital), PhatPipe, Inc., and ProLogis. Mr. Huiner began his career as an M&A financial analyst for NatWest Bancorp. He received an MBA in marketing and finance with a concentration in healthcare management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School and a BA from Williams College.
Rob Fisher, Vice President of Clinical Services, US, joined InTouch Health in April, 2012. He previously spent 20 years in senior executive positions primarily focused on service line strategy and business development for the Trinity Health System and Ascension Health; most recently as Corporate Vice President for the Centers of Excellence for Cardiovascular and Neuroscience at St. John Providence Health System based in southeast Michigan. He has extensive leadership experience developing system-wide, co-management and physician joint venture companies as well as comprehensive telemedicine networks including the Michigan Stroke Network in 2006 which was the world's largest stroke network utilizing remote presence robots. Rob began his career in healthcare working as a paramedic and nurse for the ProMedica Health System and received his MBA from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.
Gerry Popolow, VP, Clinical Services, International, brings over 30 years of domestic and international experience in hospital operations, clinical service line implementation, telemedicine, robotics, and new program implementation to her role at InTouch Health where she has managed the overall implementation of numerous remote presence sites and multiple clinical applications. Previously serving in senior leadership roles at Cedars Sinai Hospital, U.C. San Francisco Medical Center, Abington Memorial Hospital and Computer Motion, she has developed and consulted in the development of clinical service lines that include trauma, cardiac, neurosurgery and spine. Ms. Popolow received her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and is a Wharton Nurse Executive Fellow.
Greg Brallier, Vice President, Technical Service & Hosted Applications, has been engaged in the design, installation, configuration and administration of large-scale WiFi and Ethernet networks for over 15 years and is an experienced webmaster who has established and maintained Internet, Intranet and Extranet Websites. With a background that includes developing and implementing database architectures and schemas for remote monitoring of computer-driven devices, he was an early stage employee at Computer Motion, Inc., where he worked for 11 years as the Director of Information Systems, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
